Do sonoras sound good?
They sound like an early phonograph: warm, mono, and full of character. It's not hi-fi, and it isn't trying to be — the sound is part of the object, not a specification to compare.
Why is there surface noise?
A printed groove carries texture from the way it's made, and the stylus reads that texture as part of the sound. Kräftsound's finishing process exists to shape that texture, not erase it — a little of it is the character of the piece.
Are sonoras stereo?
No. Sonoras are cut mono. Stereo needs a precision the medium doesn't give, so every sonora is made with that in mind from the start.
Do sonoras wear out?
A sonora changes gently with repeated plays, the way an old record does. Kräftsound finishes each piece to hold up well to normal listening and handling.
