PLA is chosen when toughness and character matter more — an object meant to be handled, given, and played again and again. Kräftsound makes that call for every sonora; you never have to make that call.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Is resin or PLA better for a sonora?
Neither is simply better — they sound and feel different. Resin gives the cleanest, quietest playback; PLA gives a tougher object with a touch more surface character. Kräftsound chooses the material for each piece based on what it's for.
Can a sonora be made from other materials?
Resin and PLA are the materials Kräftsound has refined for this craft. Other filaments tend to be either too abrasive in the groove or too unstable across a flat disc, so they're not used.
Do sonoras wear out?
Like any physical groove, a sonora changes with repeated play over time. Kräftsound finishes every piece to hold up well to normal handling and listening.
Do I choose the material myself?
You choose the track and shape how your sonora looks. Kräftsound chooses and works the material — resin or PLA — to get the best result for that piece, then prints, finishes and ships it.
