The world's first 3D-printed disc platform

MUSIC YOUCAN HOLD.

Kräftsound lets you design and 3D-print a physical disc from the music that matters to you. The fan as maker. The object as proof.

A mixtape wasn't just music. It was time, taste and intention — pressed into something you could hold. Streaming took that from you. Kräftsound gives it back.

Manifesto

WE LIVE IN THE AGE OF
INFINITE, WEIGHTLESS,
GENERATED CONTENT.

That makes the act of crafting something slowly, intentionally, with care — more meaningful, not less.

A mixtape wasn't just music. It was time, taste and intention pressed into physical form. That instinct — the belief that making something yourself gives it a different kind of value — is what Kräftsound is built on.

Tangible things are real things.
Music deserves to be felt.

Kräftsound is not a reaction against technology. It is a belief in what technology, used with craft and care, can make possible.

The fan as maker.
The object as proof of connection.

FAQ

QUESTIONS.
ANSWERED.

Shipping & launch

Kräftsound is currently in a closed beta — active testing sessions by invitation only. We are refining the platform with a small group of pilot artists and early fans before public launch. Joining the waitlist puts you in line for the next invitation round. Public MVP launch is targeted for Q4 2026.
Kräftsound is a design and print platform — not a fulfilment service. You receive a 3D-printable file (3MF format) that you print yourself at home, or through one of our certified Kräftsound print partners. We are building a UK-wide network of print hubs — including FabLabs and makerspaces — so printer ownership is never a prerequisite. Physical shipping of pre-printed discs is not part of the current model.

Pricing

Kräftsound is currently in closed beta — access is by invitation only and free during this phase.

When we launch publicly, pricing will be:
  • · Discovery — Free. One complete disc design, one 3MF export, one introductory print licence. No credit card required. Your first disc, on us.
  • · Maker — £12/month. Full catalogue, unlimited designs, 5 print licences per month included.
  • · Artist — £22/month. Everything in Maker, plus own-music uploads, 10 licences/month, advanced Studio tools, and catalogue publishing so your fans can print your music.
  • · Label / Studio — £79/month. Multi-seat, API access, encrypted 3MF, commercial licence management, white-label options.

Print licences for catalogue tracks:
  • · Single print — £2.50 (£1.00 direct to the artist)
  • · Edition of 5 — £9.00 (£3.60 direct to the artist)
  • · Open edition — £20.00 (£8.00 direct to the artist)

Beta testers who join the waitlist now will receive a founding member rate — details at launch.
The Discovery tier at launch is permanently free — no time limit, no credit card. Design a complete disc, export your file, print it. If you want to hold the music, you already can. During beta, all access is free by invitation.

Printing

Kräftsound discs are compatible with FDM and resin (MSLA) 3D printers. We have optimised printer profiles for Elegoo P1S, P1S Fine, P2S, P2S Fine and P2S Turntable. Print time is currently approximately 4 hours per disc on FDM. Resin prints are faster with higher acoustic fidelity. If you don't own a printer, our certified print partner network will handle it for you.
Kräftsound exports 3MF files — the ISO/IEC 25422:2025 standard for 3D manufacturing. Every file contains embedded licence metadata: a cryptographic token, print count enforcement, artist ID, and NFC payload — all in human-readable XML. This is how we protect artists and ensure every print is a licensed object.
Currently approximately 4 hours per disc on a standard FDM printer at 0.08mm layer height. Our roadmap targets under 2 hours by 2027 and under 40 minutes by 2028 as printer profiles and material specifications improve.

Music & copyright

Two flows are supported from launch:
  • · Your own music: Any recording you own or have rights to — finished releases, demos, live recordings, original compositions. No licensing question arises. Available to everyone from day one.
  • · Licensed catalogue: Tracks made available by artists and rights holders through Kräftsound catalogue agreements. A print licence fee applies, with 40% going directly to the rights holder per print.

If it moves you and you have the rights to it, it qualifies.
No. Kräftsound's licensing system is built to protect artists. You can only print catalogue tracks that have been licensed for the platform by their rights holders. Every 3MF file carries a cryptographic licence token — printing an unlicensed file is technically prevented, not just prohibited. We take artist rights seriously. This is non-negotiable.
Yes — directly and transparently. 40% of every print licence fee flows automatically to the rights holder per physical object printed. No pool. No approximation. Direct, per-object payment. An artist whose track is printed 500 times receives payment for 500 physical objects.

Playback

Yes. Kräftsound discs are genuine playable records. The audio is physically encoded into the groove geometry — the same principle as a vinyl record, produced through 3D printing instead of pressing. Play on any standard turntable with a compatible stylus. Demo recordings available on request.
Any standard turntable with a compatible stylus will play a Kräftsound disc. The disc plays at 45 RPM (single standard) or 33 RPM (LP format) depending on which configuration you chose at design time. Standard mono cartridges work for lateral groove discs. Vertical modulation discs require a compatible vertical cartridge — this is an experimental format and clearly labelled as such in Kräftsound Studio.
No — and we are honest about that. Current Kräftsound discs operate in a frequency range of approximately 350Hz–4,868Hz depending on print method, compared to vinyl's typical 20Hz–20kHz. Think of it as lo-fi, tactile, and intentional — closer to early phonograph recordings than hi-fi vinyl. The object is not a replacement for your streaming service. It is proof that the music exists in the physical world.
